There have been three Fantastic Beasts movies released as of 2021. The Fantastic Beasts series is a spin-off of the Harry Potter series, and is set in the same magical universe.
The movies are based on the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them textbook, which was mentioned in the Harry Potter series. The movies follow the adventures of Newt Scamander, a magizoologist, as he travels around the world studying and documenting the magical creatures of the wizarding world.
